Is anyone on the list familiar with the Abijah Smith family?? He is a terrible brick wall...can't seem to find anything on him. He married Mary Aiken (1835-1885) and had the following children: Susan B. (b. 1858), Margaret, James Alexander (1864-1924), and Mary Eleanor "Emma" (b. 1866). All the children were born in PA. James A. was born in Camp Run, Beaver Co., so I assume that the family lived there at least a little while; Mary Aiken was born in Lawrence Co. and returned there when widowed. Abijah died between 1865-1867, almost certainly 1866. Does anyone know how I can go about trying to find this ancestor? None of the censuses I've asked people to look him up in have found him. I would say he perhaps had another name, but there's been 2 other people I've come in contact with regarding information on the Aiken family and they verify that Mary married "Abijah."
