    1. Mr. Todd & Son-In-Law Mr. McCreery
    2. Colleen Waggle
    3. I have this article from Beaver County Argus newspaper dated March 23, 1870 What I don't know is the first names of Mr. Todd and Mr. McCreary, can anone help with these names? FATAL ACCIDENT-On last Wednesday morning an old gentleman, father in law of Mr. McCreery of Beaver Falls, Pa., met with a severe and painful accident. >From the information at hand, it seems that he was walking the railroad and being somewhat portly, could not move very rapidly. Hearing the train coming he quickened his steps, when he slipped and fell, and _ere he was able to arise the locomotive and two cars passed over one of his legs, completelysevering it at the knee. He was taken to the residence of Mr. McCreery, and was kindly cared for, but sad to relate, death came to his relief during the following night. Mr. Todd, we believe was formerly a citizen of Beaver and at the time of his death was about seventy years of age. Colleen

    2. Kaye
    3. Webpage Editor www.lccug.com Maybe the reason some people haven't been able to connect to the free census site is because they have a program blocking spyware. When I try to connect, I get a message from Spybot (my anti-spyware program) that the spyware program "Bfast" wants to download and asks if I want to permit it. I don't and I get a screen that says "A bad URL" then gives the http address of the site. That screen is blank. If I permit the download - which I rarely do - then I get the site I wanted. Sometimes at other sites access is permitted without downloading the spyware. I really resent having to download something I don't want, especially since I wouldn't even know it was downloading if I didn't have Spybot. Casey -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Version: 7.1.385 / Virus Database: 268.9.1/369 - Release Date: 6/19/2006

    3. You should get a black page with numbers that move across the screen - it's an introduction page. Maybe give it a little time to load - it looks like it might be slow to load. Let me check it the link - it was working last night. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carpenter-Stano" <carstano@comcast.net> To: <PABEAVER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 22, 2006 6:29 AM Subject: Re: [PABEAVER] 1930 census - free for 3 days >I tried to access the Census through the link below. 3. You can search the 1930 Census for free for 3 days. Really. You won't need a credit card. You will need to give your names and email address..... but you get three full days - 72 hours of searching the 1930 census records for your ancestors - looking at the census images and printing them out for your files. You can get all the information here. Use the link on this page below to access the Census. http://www.familyoldphotos.com/6c/1930census.html When I tried the census straight from the Ancestry site - I didn't get the "Free for 3 Days" promotion - so use the special link that's on the listed page above.
