    1. [PABEAVER] James and Margaret Shields
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EdB.2ACI/1195 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on a James Shields, b. abt 1824 PA, and Maragret Eagan, b. December 16, 1816 PA. The 1850 census show James and Margaret, children John W, b. abt. 1848 PA, and Eliza Jane, b. 1850, living in Limestone, Clarion Co., PA. James and Margaret were married abt. 1848. I am looking for a marriage record for the couple. There is a tree on line indicating James Shields, born in Beaver Co., PA. There are several Shields in that county. I do not find any Eagan living in either Clarion or Beaver Co., however, there were several Eakinfamilies living there in 1840. So possible spelling for Margaret may have been Eakin. This family moved on to Iowa after 1853, with one child born about 1856 in Illinois, with the youngest child born in 1859 Iowa. James died between 1859 and 1860, most likely Iowa. Margaret married Amos James Ball, 1863, in Cedar Co., Iowa and moved on to Kansas. Any help on this family would be appreciated.
