Thanks for these directions for these cemeteries. I know where the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery is, in Georgetown, but the other eludes me. I had a friend take me once, & so don't remember, because I am an out of towner now, so got to work harder, when I'm in the area, getting to know the area, every few years again. I put this in my folder for my summer trip up this coming year. In the "History of Baden", 1938 or so, there are two Holsingers listed. Daniel and Simon. Can't find the book right now - I indexed it a long time ago and have on my computer as a Works file. Every family in Baden is listed in the book. My Mother directed the centennial pageant. Wow!! what a long time ago...I'm 82 now! Hope this helps. You could probably find more on the 1930 census. Here's the entry in Warmer's Beaver Co, PA History (1888), John Popp, farmer, P.O. Industry, was born in Baden, Germany, June 22, 1824, son of Sylvester & Margarette Popp, also natives of Germany. The father was a farmer by occupation, and died in Germany. John came in America in 1849, and worked as a farm laborer in Allegheny county, Pa, for six years; he then rented a farm in the same county, and followed agricultural pursuits until 1869. In the following year he purchased and removed to his present farm in Industry township. He was married in 1847, to Susan, daughter of Wolfcombe Schuster, a native of Germany, and five children have blessed their union: Maggie, wife of Michael Hardner, of Allegheny county; Caroline, wife of John Paser, of Droversburg, Pa; JOhn, a farmer in Industry township, and married to Mary Methouse; Mary, wife of Peter Smith, of Droversburg; and George, at home. Mr. Popp is allied to no political party, but always supports the best man; his first vote cast for Stephen A, Douglas. He and his wife are members of the Lutheran church. Anyone related, & have more after this generation? I've got this Popp line recently & wanted to see if this the one above. Anyone know or have this info too? Can anyone verify the "H" as a middle ID? I'm thinking that John might be "dad" here, or a son named John perhaps!? I'd like to get in contact with a Phyliss Dawson in Beaver CO, PA. I understand she's doing the Popp family tree. If she reads this, contact me. I'm related to Chris Raber, below. I'm a direct descendent of him. Thanks, Cathy Raber John H. Popp, Industry, PA (Fairview)? I am looking for information for MARY V. STEWART Snyder, born in Beaver Co, PA. She was married to Samuel S. Snyder, a United Brethren minister. I know they had one daughter Bath. I can track them on census records: They lived in Blair Co. PA on the 1850 census, on to Iowa on the 1860 census. I can track his activities thru the ministry. They lived outside Lawrence Kansas at the time of the Quantril Raid. He was at killed August 21, 1863, as the raiders rode into Lawrence. I have Samuel S. Snyder's Civil War records, Mary applied for widow's benefits and was denied. Samuel S. Snyder was from Huntingdon Co, PA. I believe he was a son of Henry and Nancy Brown Snyder. I am interested in Mary V. Stewart Snyder's parents and if anyone knows anything about their daughter Bath. Bath Snyder was left a small inheritance from Henry Snyder in the 1870's. Through this, I am hoping to find absolute proof that the minister, Samuel S. Snyder was a son of Henry and Nancy Brown Snyder. If anyone has any information, please e-mail me at :nataliesgram@hotmail.com. I am changing my e-mail address in the next few days. Thanks, Teresa Shade Anderson

Any possibility that this relation of yours married into the Faries family of Freedom? I am looking for marriage or death records that connect Joseph GLENN (1768-1811) to Mary McCURDY (1772-?). I have the Will of Joseph Glenn, mentioning children Hugh, Jannett and Margret. There is no mention of his wife Mary McCurdy. Brothers-in-law Joseph and Andrew McCurdy were named executors of the will. The will was filed in Beaver County PA. I also have family documents stating that land was owned in Allegheny County by the McCURDY family, and a plot willed to HUGH GLENN, son of Joseph and Mary Glenn. Joseph Glenn owned property in Hannover Twp, Beaver county in the 1805 tax list. He died in 1811 or 1812. I believe Jospeh and Mary were married in Lancaster County abt. 1790-1792. Any information connecting these two people together as husband and wife would be greatly appreciated.
