I rented birth records from LDS library for Beaver County, so get there! It was only running $3.50 per film, & sometimes that you find other things on the film that might be from there also, besides birth records. I found deeds, & death records too, on the one I rented. Hello, Does anyone know the history of the Irwin-Irvin family of Rochester, PA? I have the information in the "History of Beaver County," but I need the generation before Judge Joseph Irwin (b 1797). Does anyone know if Joseph's father, also named Joseph, was a judge, too? I am trying to connect to the ancestors of a James F. Irvin (bc 1817), a steamboat captain in Louisville, KY. In his biography, it states that his father was a judge in Beaver County, PA. He was associated with a man named Moses Irwin (bc 1823, relationship unknown), also a steamboat captain, whom ran one of James' steamboats. Moses listed his birthplace as PA in the census. James' house is on the National Register and I am writing a book about the house. I would love to be able to include the genealogical information. Please email with any information. Thank you, Sundea Murphy Louisville, KY
Janice, Again, the Jefferson county, OH people would be able to give an address or you can sometimes find an address online for Funeral Homes nowadays! Some cemeteries have interment records, that you can write for & some don't, but could tell where he died if you got the interment records from the cemetery. Hi, Thanks for answering. The Vinton County connection explains where Joseph and Catherine were prior to living in the Rutland area in Meigs. I would appreciate any info on either family. Catherine and Joseph are buried in VanZant Cemetery in Cheshire Township, Gallia County. I'm fairly familiar with the area as I went to high school at Middleport and my mother was reared in Middleport in the early 1900s. We now live in Brown County, Ohio.
