I'm looking for information on John Sokolowksy. He was born in Austria in 1890 and immigrated in 1906. He married Katherine, sometime around 1915. I've found the family listed in the 1920 US Census (O'Hara, Allegheny, Pennsylvania) and 1930 US Census (Ambridge, Beaver, Pennsylvania). John was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ambridge, Pa and is buried in their cemetery. I am most interested in finding information on John and Katherine's parents and any siblings/other relatives they may have had in the area. I have a printed sheet that says Guyan Harvey Wallace was born May 1850 Carroll Co. to Guyan Wallace born abt 1794 and his second wife Eleanor or Ellen. Guyan Wallace had a sister Elizabeth born 1793 Their parents were Robert Wallace born about 1770 in Eastern Pa. and died 1835 Carroll Co OH and Agnes (Ann/Nancy) born abt 1773 PA and died 1855 Carroll Co OH. Wm. J. Cain (1856-1906) married Minnie Ola Merriman. I have parents names which are all from Beaver County. I've got a connection on two lines here, as I strongly suspect that Minnie's sister is my gr. grandmother, but need more info. *Sidenote: My gr. grandmother was Laura Merriman Coleman (1860?-1951) married Aaron S. Coleman (1850's-1925) living & raising their family in East Liverpool, OH. They had many other siblings that either lived in East Liverpool, or lived in Beaver area. They were both born & raised in Beaver County. My direct lines are Milo A. (Cane) Cain, Jr. (1863-1941), married twice, 1st to Henrietta Holmes #2-Cora Belle Wright (1877-1948), daughter of Johnathan D. Wright & Mary Jane Cain. Milo married Cora in Beaver Co. Sept. 1896. Milo & Cora Cain are buried in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, PA. I sure would like to have more info on Mary Jane Cain's family. Her parents & siblings & whom they married. None I know of My family moved from Ohio to Michigan abt. 1930 and all contact with the family was lost.
