    1. [PABEAVER-L] Fwd: MB: Backing up Favorite Places
    2. I realize this is a little off topic, but for us AOL users, our favorite places is where most of our genealogy information and links are stored. I've heard of people losing it all. I just thought this could be useful. I'm sorry if this is too off topic. There are 3 ways to back up your favorite places... Lynn unicrnhorn@aol.com << Favorite Places are in \AOL30\ORGANIZE\"your screen name". You can just copy that file to disk. If you want a hard copy of the favorites: You can print the address book or favorite places by opening a logging session: 1. Click on FILE in the top left corner of your screen 2. Click on LOG MANAGER 3. To start a new log, under SESSION LOG click on OPEN LOG (to make changes to an existing log, click on APPEND LOG) 4. Give your session a name (make a note of the directory it is being stored in) 5. Click on OK (your logging session is now open) 6. Open your favorite places or address book 7. Click on the first entry and then click on MODIFY (this will show you the name and the URL for the favorite places or the address from the address book) 8. Click on OK 9. Continue doing this for all the entries 10. When you are through, click on CLOSE LOG Now you are ready to pull up that session to print it: 1. Click on FILE in the top left corner of your screen 2. Click on OPEN 3. Open the directory the log was saved to (probably in download) 4. Scroll down to the name you gave it and click on it once 5. Click on OK (the session log will appear) 6. Print You can also print the session log later while you are off line. This way you can use your word processor and add carriage returns, etc. to make it easier to read. For more info on how to use the Log Manager, click on the red question mark at the top of your screen (or go to keyword HELP), click on FIND IT NOW, and do a search on LOG MANAGER. >> Another way is... Open Favorite Places right click on the favorite places folder click on save folder as save it to floppy . That way if AOL crashes You have the favorites. You can open the saved folder with File at the top left, then click on your favorites and re-save them back to your favorite places box.

This is the only Purdy in the listing, it says: "PURDY, Esther, w/o Farmer, died July 24, 1851 in the 45 year of her age" > If you ever wonder onto any >Purdys I would appreciate you giving me a mail. well, the last time i was in that area, i stopped at the Frankfort Springs Presbyterian Cemetery in Hanover Twp, and i noticed the following surnames on the some of the tombstones: Anderson, Bubbett, Frazer, Purdy, Bigger. i don't have any of the exact inscriptions for that cemetery, but i know there's Purdys in that area. it's only a mile or so (or less) from the King's Creek Cemetery. hope this helps, JoAnn.

    2. Hi JoAnn, What a nice thing to do, thank you. Am interested in Esther Purdy, you say w/o Farmer? Am trying to track down parents of Henry Purdy and since he organized the United Brethern in Christ Church of Industry, Beaver Co. in 1824, was wondering what time frame this couple could be in. The inscription might help. If you ever wonder onto any Purdys I would appreciate you giveing me a mail. Thanks again, :) Bev Craig Pod50@aol.com

    1. [PABEAVER-L] Re: CRAIL / Center Church Cemetery directions.

    3. Gary, I can't thank you enough for your help in locating this cemetery. After spending a long day at Spring Grove Cemetery in East Liverpool, and finding our way to West Virginia before actually ever making PA, my husband and I were finally on the right track. I had a report from Alice Kern, who I believe is employed at the Research Library, that a tornado had gone through the area an access may be difficult. However, coming up RT 18, if there had been no tornado we probably would not have found our way. What and awful sight at Holt Rd. All the trees in the area were gone and many houses were damaged. We got on to Moffet Mill Rd. and were sure we were in the wrong place, but we kept going till we found farm land. After several drive-bys and climbing out the sunroof to see over the bankon, we knew we had the right place. The interesting thing. I went to ask Mr. Hollister's permission and he asked me a lot of questions, I guess to make sure I wasn't going to do something I shouldn't. He told us that the RAMBO's, COLEMAN's and the MOFFET's all had lived on that piece of property and he is sure they were all related in some way. We walked over and the only stone standing was that of my g-g grandfather's, Jonnathan Coleman. This was very exciting. I tree had recently fallen directly across the cemetery and many stones were under the tree. I found what Mr. Hollister said very interesting and went back to my original assumption, that I had when you first answered me, that my g-g-grandmother Kezia Coleman was probably a Moffet or Rambo. I found some information that she may have possibly been married before, and had children, before marrying Jonathan Coleman. My question to you is are there any Kezia's in the Rambo line you are reserching, or are there any pieces here you can fill in. Thanks again for your help. Ruth Gagliardi buffy@tiac.net G. R. 1. [PABEAVER-L] Frankfort Springs Info Wanted
    2. My CAMPBELL and TEEL ancestors lived in or around Frankfort Springs from about 1830 until 1861. From Warner's History of Beaver County, I know they were among the original members of the Frankfort Springs Presbyterian Church and several of them are buried in the churchyard. Both my ggg-grandfather Josiah CAMPBELL and my gggg-grandfather John TEEL were cabinet-makers. I'm interested in finding out more about Frankfort Springs during the time period my ancestors lived there. Does anyone know if there are any books or articles written about this area or about the church?
