Where did you find the book re naturalizations in Beaver County? I am looking for a Declaration of Intent of August Volk, came to US 1866 and was granted citizenship in 1871 from the Allegheny Court. I am trying to find out if he filed his "first papers" in Beaver County. Would love to get a copy of the book..... Cathy
Have you tried the Beaver Co Historical Society re the Hind surname? There might be something in what they have that might help you...they were able to help me re my names.. My Hind family lived in Beaver County from the 1790s - ?. My line moved from N. Sewickley in the 1830s. M gggg grandfather John Hind was a Revolutionary War Soldier. I do not know where he is burried. His final resting place is not listed in the books related to the burial of Revolutionary War soldiers. I would like to know anything concerning the Hind(s) family, but especially where John is burried. I am Clif Hinds at hindsclif@mindspring.com

Janet: I was wondering if you could check two names for me in this book. I would really appreciate it. They are: Julius Naska (Nesske, Neske) Mary Betke If it is at all possible, I would greatly appreciate you taking the time to check that out. List members, I recently acquired a copy of my ancestor Jesse LUMM's pension application. He applied for it in Beaver Co., PA. Now in the report it indicates that if I want to find out when the last payment was made to him I have to write to "this city". What is this city? The city that he applied at, the city that sent me this copy, etc? Thanks for any assistance. Michelle
The index is at the Carnegie Free Library, 1301 Seventh Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. I'm not sure what years it covers, though. The phone is (724)846-4340, ext 5 You can see their other holdings and their hours at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabecgs/holdings.htm Kelly
Hi, I found some of my ancestors in a Naturalization Index for Beaver County and I was just wondering if anyone ever tried to look for naturalization papers in the Beaver County Courthouse? If so, what did you find and in what place of the courthouse? Thanks in advance, Kelly
Hi, I checked very early naturalizations at the Beaver County Courthouse about 10 years ago. At that time (if I recall) these were kept in the basement. They were kind of spotty (meaning that my guy wasn't there). Brian Bowers ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Dear Barbara, Are you familiar with the biographical sketches on John Marshall, Marvin Marshall and Hugh J. Marshall that are found on pages 690 and 691 of Warner's "History of Beaver County" c1888? There may be more in the book that are related. There are several mentions of David Clark a Captain in the Revolutionary War also but I was not able to quickly place him as the one you were looking for. Today I was going through VERY old genealogy notes my grandmother wrote in the 1940s. She spent many years (and there are letters from one woman going back and forth for 12 years) trying to find out about the family of David Clark(e) Elizabeth (Betsy) Bell Clark(e) was born 14 Aug 1787, place unknown. She married John Marshall in Beaver County and their children were: David Clark Marshall, John, Margaret, Marvin, and Hugh James. Hugh was born 1 Dec 1831 and was my grandmother's grandfather. The question always was who was the David Clark(e) who was Elizabeth's father? He was born 16 Feb 1767, place unknown. He died in Beaver Co, now Lawrence Co, PA on 1 Apr 1846, and is buried in Wilson Cemetery. He married Mary McKee b 16 July 1789, place unknown, who died 3 June 1846. Anyone know about this family? There are hundred of notations pertaining to David Clark and I have always wondered if she was on the correct trail anywhere. Thanks, Barbara Prior Jameson Monument CO

Hello, I am new to the PABEAVER list, and would like to give my "most wanted". Have recently found information on my line of THOMSON, my mother's maiden name. Am searching for a William THOMSON, b. 1750 (possibly Scotland) and d. 1822 in Beaver Co., PA. William would be my G-G-G-GF. Have no information on where William would be buried in Beaver Co. (or adjoining counties). Do know he was Presbyterian. William had a son James b. 1772 (not sure if he was born in Beaver Co.) and married to Nancy WRIGHT b. 1776 of Pine Twp. Allegheny Co. Any help, insights or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Marybeth Corrigall, in Ohio ACMBJC@aol.com
Hello All, I have been following with interest the ALLISON discussion. I have not seen my relative,so I just want to let you know that I have a tie in also. I have a Mary Hunter born about 1842 who married Robert Allison in New Brighton, PA. I know she is buried in Grove Cemetery and I have the date. I am requesting info on Emeline Long, who was living with the George and Mary Minis family in Beaver Co, Pa, in 1850. She was 25 yrs old and single at the time. My gg-grandfather Robert Thomas Eaton married an Emeline Long from Pa in 1854, who was 29, in Lawrence Co., OH. There is no record of an Emeline Long in Lawrence Co., OH, before this time, and I suspect the two Emeline's are one and same. Robert Thomas Eaton's family originated from Beaver Co., and we know family members traveled up and down the river to visit. Can anyone help with Emeline? Is she related to the Minis family? or perhaps Mary Minis is a sister or relative? Was Emeline married before? I'm happy to share descendent info. Thank you.
