There was a McLaughlin in Hanover Twp., Washington Co., near the border with Beaver Co., who might be related. Also, when JOSEPH JENKINS died in 1840, a Robert Ramsey of Beaver Co. was a co-executor of his estate. JOSEPH's oldest son, JOHN M. JENKINS settled in Wellsville, OH in 1824 and lived near a RALSTON family. Do you have any information particularly relating to the MCLAUGHLINS ? Thanks, Craig Heberton

    3. Hello, Just joined the list a few days ago. I'm working on BARNES, BARNS, WALLACE mostly. William BARNES 1819-1903, m. Mary WALLACE, 1825-1882. Both born in PA, not sure if it's Beaver Co., or not. Mary, d/o Jesse WALLACE and his wife Jane REED. I believe William's father is Reason (Rezin) BARNES. Rezin's father is Joshua Barnes per his will, and at least one deed. Rezin and Joshua were born in Maryland, another researcher thinks in Washington Co., MD. William & Mary resided in 2nd Moon township, Raccoon Township in Beaver Co., they and some of their children moved to Orange County, VA in 1882. Some surnames that intermarried are HENDERSON, SHANE, SHORT, EWING. Regards, Marigay Holloway email: mhol@loc.gov
