    1. [PABEAVER-L] Robert TREMBLE Jr. 1907 to ????
    2. larry/nancy baldwin
    3. Hello, Robert TREMBLE Jr was born in Beaver County Pennsylvania in April 1907 to Robert TREMBLE SR. and Laura HUNTER. The parents divorced within two years, and Robert Jr stayed on in New Brighton, PA to live with Laura's parents and her two single sisters. (John and Susanna HUNTER and Cora and Minnie HUNTER). He would visit his mother after she remarried (James MURPHY) but was raised by Cora and Minnie. I believe he stayed there his entire life, but don't know that for sure. My Father was the first son of the second marriage, and he and Robert were in close contact for many years. Since my Father's death 25 years ago, I have not heard anything from Robert. Does anybody know about Robert and his wife and family.? Thank you for any help you can give. Nancy

    2. Alice Kern
    3. This is to let everyone on the list know that Union Cemetery in Monaca has been "walked" and the records are now on file at the Beaver County Research Center in Beaver Falls. The Beaver County Genealogical Society also has a copy of the results of this walk. This was not gleaned from cemetery records but from someone actually going to the cemetery and reading the stones. The research center and the society have a rather extensive set of cemetery records. If you want to see which cemeteries are recorded check the society's web page at : http://www.rootsweb.com/~pabecgs/index.htm click on 'Gleanings' Alice Kern akern@nauticom.net

    1. Re: Re: [PABEAVER-L] RE [PABEAVER-L Naturalization paper missing
    2. I found my great grandfather's declaration of intent here in NY. It may have to do with different forms used at different times in our history. He came in the early 1870's and his declaration stated his date of arrival and port of entry.. I can use this info to find what ships docked on this date. His port of departure was also listed, but not the ship's name. Hope this helps. I also was wondering if the declaration could have been filed in a local court and then the final papers issued from a different city?? Cathy

    3. You may want to try a ship arrival record. His declaration of intent, should list the ship he came over on. If you can get the record copy from the National Archives, it should list from where he sailed, and from where he left to get to his departure port. I did some research on the VANEMAN / VAN EMAN family in Washington Co., Beaver Co, Lawrence Co. and Mercer Co., PA a few years ago for my step children.
