    1. [PABEAVER-L] Braden/McIntire
    2. The Curries
    3. Anyone recognize this group of people? John Braden, Sr., having grown up to manhood, became the owner of a farm near Youngstown, Ohio, and resided on the same until the breaking out of the war of 1812 with Great Britain, when he joined the army and served therein until the close of the war. After the war John Braden, Sr., was married to Katherine McIntyre, daughter of William McIntyre, who was a native of Scotland, and in early times had migrated to this country, settling at Hagerstown, Md. John Braden and his wife Katherine, after their marriage, removed from near Youngstown Ohio, to Chippewa township, Beaver county, where they lived for over fifty years, having born to them a large family, amongst whom was John D. Braden, the only one of the family who resides in Washington county. Would love to correspond with anyone who knows about this family. Many Thanks, Janet Currie

    3. Well, I am not downloading things that aren't explained what they are. And then you click you se the same thing on another screen, keeps going back forth! Nice of Mary Beth to put on list. What list is it from? What newsletter is this from? You have to watch what you download nowadays! Not that I am not saying they might not be good links, but ya just have to be CAREFUL! I've learned the hard way already, it's a trial! It's all well intentioned I'm sure! A good thing is to check it out before posting on a list, because if people are interested, they'll click on it like me! That way you can recommend it that way! 1. [PABEAVER-L] Von Allman burial place/death record
    2. Bloomquist, Steve
    3. My great-great grandfather, John Von Allman, settled in Beaver Falls by 1869 and died there between 29 Jan 1887 and 5 Sep 1887. (Most likely in August or early September 1887.) I cannot refine the death date further, but was hoping that a record of his burial could be found. Can anyone out there with cemetery records look for him? I have personally gone to Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls (where his last wife is buried) and to Beaver Cemetery in Beaver, but they don't have a record of him. I checked indices for Grove Cemetery (New Brighton) and Irvin cemetery at the BC Research Center, but no luck. When searching, beware the surname. I've seen his name listed as VonAllman, Von Allman, Von Alleman, Von Allmen, and Allman. Sometimes one 'L', sometimes two. You know how the surname game goes! Any help would be greatly appreciated. -=Steve Bloomquist

    2. Seeking information regarding John BLAKE. Date of birth not known. He married Amelia Hurst, born 12 March 1835 and they had 3 children: William Blake, born 10 July 1857, John Blake born 5 Sept 1859, and Amelia H. born about 1856. In the 1860 census Amelia is shown as head of household with the three children. Is anyone familiar with the Blake family or have any information on John Blake? Amelia apparently owned a cokeswork and left a large inheritance. She never remarried. Any information appreciated. Jean Hurst

Fisher was Betty's married name; however, I've been told she is now remarried but I don't know her new married name. Betty is probably still living or is recently deceased. She was living in the Rochester/Beaver Falls area. If she is still living, she would probably be around 80 years of age. If anyone knows her or knows of her, I can be e-mailed directly rather than bothering the list. Thanks very much. Gail [email protected] more from the Web.
