Hi List, Thomas SARSFIELD died 07 Mar 1876 in Rochester and his wife, Anna McDONALD SARSFIELD, died 06 May 1897 in Rochester. Does SKP have any idea in which cemetery they may be buried? Their son, Patrick, and most of his family are buried at St Cecelia's but apparently not Thomas and Anna. Also need any obits that may have been printed for Thomas and Anna. Thanks for your help. Carolyn

Can somebody with the index to Beaver County marriages please look for the following marriage: groom: George MARICH (the surname is hard to read on Census) bride: Augusta ? (may have surname HOLK) Time period: between 1894 and 1910. Thanks!
I'd really like information about this too. My grandmother, who was born in Beaver Falls, taught before she was married. I haven't been able to find out where she taught or where she went to college or normal school. I'm pretty sure she didn't attend Geneva College. She was born Esther Villa Cottam in 1878 and married in 1802, also in Beaver Falls. So sometime before 1802, she taught in the area. I was wondering where I might find some teaching certificates for my relation, Elizabeth Coleman. Would the school system, have a copy or the state? She got it in Western PA?, Beaver county, PA, but taught in Eastern OH, East Liverpool? Anything on this subject, please post. I'm sure that I'm not the only person having any relations having them! Would anyone have any info on these that might connect? Jonathan Is my line. Fellow lister, Cathy Raber --- Cathy Raber --- [email protected]
Jim, as I understand it the congeration split. Part of the congeration kept the Cemetery and built a new church nearby. Also the orignal (the church that was the Raccoon Church) recently the New Lite burnt. Can someone verify this? Thanks, Todd ----- Original Message ----- From: "J. Hello, My ancestor Sabinus BRIGGS was buried in the United Brethren in Christ Cemetery that was (according to 1936 Langnecker et al book) located on the south side of the Beaver - Freeport Public Road (aka Freedom - Crider Road, aka Wallace City - Lovi Road) in New Sewickley Twp in eastern Beaver County. This road is County 2004. According to a cemetery map at the Beaver Falls Library, this was near the "jog" in the boundary between New Sewickley & Economy Townships. This road was "recently" realigned. No trace of this cemetery is evident from the new road or any of the side roads or retained old alignments. This cemetery does not appear to be the one in current use on the hill south of Wallace City (We checked the tombstones) off of PA 989. According to Langnecker et al, part of the cemetery land was sold to the New Sewickley School District so if anyone knows of an old school in that area, please let me know. Any help will be appreciated. Best of success in your searches, Mark Moeser Researching in Beaver County: BRIGGS, DRUSHEL / DRUSCHEL, MOESER, KENDREW, FASH / FASCIA, ROMBOLD
