    3. I'm glad that was helpful. For your records, it came from a book History of Beaver County 1888 published by A. Warner & Company. Taking some liberty considering frequent mis-spellings, James Blashford was named as guardian for Sarah Reading, dau. of deceased William Reading in Orphans Court, 1789-1820. There are a number of Bradford in the book named above. WARRICK, Beaver County Wills 1800-1900 James, 1871, book E, p. 307 Jesse, 1874, book F, p. 54 Isaac , 1880, book F, p. 436 WARRICK, Mrs. Died 3d inst., consort of Mr. Isaac Warrick, South Beaver Twp., aged about 65 years. 11 Nov. 1831 (date of publication in Beaver "Argus" Genealogical Gleanings) J. Moore Warrick, grandson of Isaac Warrick who (Isaac) came from England to New Jersey where he married Mary Thatcher...had seven sons and three daughters... Unfortunately the children are not named. Robert Harbison, ...b. South Beaver Twp. abt. 1795... his daughter Mary m. Isaac Warrick...lived in Ohio twp....dau Ann m. Eziriah Inman* (and continues on with names of other children and their spouses, this is a quite long entry). This Mary Harbison and Isaac Warrick may be parents of Mary Warrick who you are looking for. If you would like complete Harbison information let me know and I'll copy it. *Ann Harbison: this should be Marcha Ann Harbison and Azariah Inman. They are my g-grandparents. You can find much more in the Inman Compendium. Just another note, please forgive if I'm preaching to the choir...I found a treasure of information from my grandfather's Civil War pension application, names, dates, etc. that I'd never have found elsewhere. If Daniel Blackford applied for pension you might "strike it rich". Pensions provide much more than info. than simple service records. I'm happy to help, get just as excited and the searcher!! I was born and raised until fourth grade in Darlington - Darlington Lake - a group of "summer cottages" that became homes after WW II. I went to Achor (Negley, Cannelton, East Palestine area) and I saw (and was able to read) many of my ancestors headstones. The Achor Baptist Church was boarded up and delapidated. I tried and tried to find someone who had the records. My gggrandfather Daniel W. Blackford seems to have fallen from the sky as far as records go. Can't find parents or siblings. His wife Mary's headstone is in Achor too, but can't find her maiden name. Thank you for your help, Debbie Snyder Rousseau "Carol. These Beaver County records include a wide variety of cemeteries in numerous counties. My Edwards ancestors lived in Darlington Twp. PA, adjacent to Achor Cemetery Oh. If you are a member of BCGS these searches require only a SASE, for non-members there is a small fee. The only alternative I can think of is requesting a researcher in the area to physically going there and search, for a small fee. I also did that, the result was "no Edwards" but she explained that many grave stones are unreadable or damaged. The album is dated from 1883-1884 and includes mostly poems, autographs, victorian stickers, etc. from friends. With help from a wonderful researcher I believe this is album belonged to Jessie MCCONNEL(L) b. 1871 daughter of William P. MCCONNEL(L) and Ellen MCMILLIN living in Bridgewater, Beaver Co., PA during the 1880 census. Jessie was one of four children the oldest being William H. MCCONNEL(L) b. 1855 in South Beaver, PA. William P. MCCONNEL(L) was one of 10 children, the son of John MCCONNEL(L) and Dortha WRIGHT. Jessie's brother William married Alice DEVER. Only two pages appear to contain entries from family members, they are: Mame of West Bridgewater, PA "cousin" Sibbie S. MCCONNEL "no relation specified" Other surnames mentioned in the album include: HERRON MITCHELL of Beaver Co., PA ANDREWS of Rochester, PA BOWERS of Beaver Co., PA COLEMAN of West Bridgewater, PA CAUGHY of Beaver, PA BELTZ of Beaver, PA DAUGHERTY BRUCE BROWN of West Bridgewater, PA STONE of Beaver, PA MCCABE of West Bridgewater, PA HAMILTON DOUTT of Bridgewater, PA WICKHAM PFUSCH ALEXANDER of Beaver, PA TAYLOR of Beaver, PA ANDERSON of Beaver, PA HOUSTON of Beaver, PA I'm hoping to locate someone from Jessie's family so that this wonderful old family heirloom can be returned to its rightful place with family. 3. Hello Listers, I just discovered another surname for my search... 1930 Census shows a George Paxton and wife Vida living on Darlington Road in Patterson Twp. George's mother-in-law Jennette Peters is living with the family. I am anxious to talk to anyone with knowledge of this Jennette PETERS. She is shown as widowed. I believe her late husband was Emile Herman D. PETER(S), who went by Herman Peter(s). The family lived in Wampum (Lawrence county) PA from at least 1880 to 1900, then moved to Beaver Falls by 1920. If anyone has a connection to this family, please respond, as I have some info to share. -=Steve Bloomquist

    1. [PABeav'r] PA Births, Marriages, Deaths
    2. Pat
    3. Jack, PA mandated that marriage records be kept, starting in 1885. Each county courthouse still holds these records through the present day. Births and deaths were kept at the county level from 1893 through 1905, then the State Office of Vital Records has the births and deaths from 1906 to the present. www.vitalrec.com There was a short time period from 1852-54 that the state mandated the keeping of these records. The originals all seem to be in Harrisburg now, but the LDS has them on microfilm also. You can find Mercer County's and Butler County's, 1852-54 births, deaths, and marriages that were recorded, as well as Lawrence County 1852-54 deaths, online at www.rootsweb.com/~pabutle2. Haven't gotten back out there to get any others yet. Not all people registered these things, there apparently was a lot of opposition to it. We've noticed in Butler County in particular, that only a couple of Drs. came to the courthouse and recorded them. Pat "Volunteer of Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness at http://www.raogk.org/"

    3. Sorry, I didn't mean that you'd find Thomas's death record, but that you would find out what cemetery they are buried in. Death records were mandated in 1893 and through 1905, they were recorded in the county courthouses in PA. Starting in 1906 the state kept those records. Each county still holds their own birth and death records from 1893-1905 Pat www.rootsweb.com/~pabutle2

    1. [PABeav'r] Sarsfield Burials & Obits
    2. Pat
    3. Carolyn, When Anna died in 1897, death records were supposed to have been filed at the county courthouse. The death record contains the person's name, marital status, age, sometimes the deceased's parents' names, the place of death, the cause of death, the place of interment, the date of death, and the date of interment. Try to get a death record from the Beaver County courthouse for Anna and you will most likely find Thomas too. Of course, they may not have headstones. Good Luck!
