Patti--There's quite alot of Putney information in the History of Armstrong County pub. 1883 (sorry, can't read my writing for the author, publisher) and Armstrong County PA, Her People, Past and Present, published by J.H. Beers in 1914. I also have all of the inscriptions from the stones in the Putney plots in the Putneyville cemetary, if you're interested. David came to PA from CT; his father was Ezra Putney who lived and died in Union, Tolland Co. I believe his mother was Polly Taylor, Ezra's first wife. My family line is through James Thompson Putney.
