Mary, The only Cooks I have that were old enough to have a child in 1852 were all girls, so the baby's name would not have been Cook. Unfortunately, there were a lot of other Cook families in Armstrong County, PA during the time mine lived there. I know very little about the other Cooks. The only son who could have had a child by 1852 was John R. Cook, but he moved to California before he married and he never had any children. I suppose that Samuel could have had a child at 17, but I have only located one infant child for him in the 1880 census. Nothing before that. Sorry I can't help more. Ken T.
