Have you ever ran across the name Eli Rowe? Eli was born abt 1821, Westmoreland Co., PA. He married Phoebe Jane Ayers on 11 Jan 1849, Bethel Twp., Armstrong Co., PA. They had four girls, Mary, b. abt 1850, Martha, b. abt 1852, Sarah Francis, b. 5 May 1859 and Amelia, b. abt 1863. Eli fought in Civil War. Co. B, 139th Pennsylvania Infantry. He fought at Gettysburg. Was wounded on May 12, 1864 by a musket ball in the head at Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse.
