A week or so ago, someone asked about Plum Creek, Indiana Co. and birth/baptism records. They were confused and wondered if it was Plum Creek Armstrong or Indiana. In Armstrong Co., we have a Plumcreek Twp. but in Indiana Co. there is a Plumcreek Presbyterian Church. Those baptism records were donated to Lankerd-Thomas Library (Kittanning) by Ann Monrad from CA, who copied them from a micro-film of the original Session Book. That Plumcreek Church, Indiana Co., is located in Washington Twp. Dates 1848 to 51. Some of the surnames: Shirr, McGary, Smith, Erwin, Stewart, McAdoo, Miller, Elliot, Beaty, Bean, Allison, Spence etc. That whole thing puzzled me also, so I did a little research today. Perhaps that will clear up the two Plumcreeks. Connie M.
