Having received my ggrandfather's death certificate in the mail yesterday, I am now in posession of the names of his parents (which I didn't have before), but not much else on them. His father was Robert DAY, b. in PA, and his mother was Jane MARTIN, b. in Scotland. My ggrandfather, Robert King Calhoun DAY is listed on different documents with different birthplaces. His death certificate lists McKeesport, Allegheny Co. PA, while his son's (John Sirwell DAY, my grandfather) delayed birth record (dbr) indicates Ambridge, Beaver Co., and still another source (his son's marriage record) says Rochester, Beaver Co. These folks did some traveling around during their lives, and Robert K. C. DAY died in New Kensington in 1927, after having lived in Leechburgh and the Tarentum/Brackenridge area. They also lived in Markle, Westmoreland Co., PA when John S. DAY was born in 1887. Robert K.C. DAY may have had a sister named Annie, because an Annie Hudson is listed on John S. DAY's dbr as his aunt. Robert K. C. DAY first married (Margaret) Mathilda JACK (b. 1854, Armstrong Co., d. 1891) abt. 1874.
