Does anyone know if Brady's Bend was ever part of Butler County. I have the John Oliver Miller family and the papers the family has handed down through the years has noted that the children, specifically my grandmother, Susie Miller, was born in Brady's Bend, Butler County. I looked in the census for Butler County, and Brady's Bend is listed in Armstrong County only. The family is not in the 1870-1880 census in Brady's Bend, Armstrong County. I found my gggrandfather, Nicholas Snow and family, Nicholas Snow is the father of Nancy Elizabeth Snow Miller, wife of John Oliver Miller. John was a farmer and had land in the area. Family has said the land was on both Armstrong/Butler County lines. I wonder how they enumerated the census in this case and what I should do next. I know some of you are saying go to the Soundex for 1880, but the LDS library did not have that specific tape for the M's (Miller). Then I went to 1870 in hopes of find the family there. They should be since their firs child William George Miller was born in 1866(Oil City, Venango Co), their second, Randolph was born in 1868 in Butler County, their third, John Lawrence Miller, in 1870 in Butler Co.and so on. All together they had 8 children born in Butler County (I only know the Township from my ggrandmother, Susie Miller.). I sure would appreciate some guidance or information or advice>>>GRIN<< I think this is the famous wall people talk of hitting??? Just A Rootin' Maureen
