I have a problem today that has been driving me crazy. I have a Samuel Bish who was born approximately 1845. He was married to a woman named Matilda Mae. In 1880 they are living in East Franklin Twp. In 1860 he is single and 16 years of age living in Perry Twp with William Crawford. However, for some reason, he was totally missed on the 1850 census, thus I do not have a clue who his parents were. Samuel and Matilda Bishes children that I have found were: Daisy M. Bish born circa 1892. She married Robert Toy, son of John and Rebecca Toy, in 1910 in Kittanning, PA. John H. Bish born circa 1880. He married Lizzie Toy, same parents as above in 1901 in Worthington, PA. John and Lizzie (Toy) Bish had a son name Herbert Curtis Bish who was born circa 1901and he married Ivy Pearl Bowser in 1918 in Kittanning, PA. James M. Bish born circa1882. He married Edith F. Slagle in 1903 in Kittanning, PA. I have run across this family repeatedly in my courthouse research in the area. Does anybody know anything about Samuel Bishes parentage?
