    3. Someone was looking for PERRY, Pa, but there appears to be no such place. A DeLorme Atlas and Gazeteer for Penna lists a Perry Mead Corners, in Warren County, but that is the nearest thing to the name Perry. However, there are nine Pennsylvania counties that contain a Perry Township. The Pennsylvania Line, published by Southwest Pennsylvania Genealogical Services, Post Office Box 253, Laughlintown PA 15655 lists the nine Perry Townships this way: TOWNSHIP COUNTY FORMED Perry Armstrong 1845 from Sugarcreek Twp Perry Berks 1852 from Windsor Twp Perry Clarion - - - - - while part of Venango County Perry Fayette 1839 from Franklin, Tyrone and Washington Twps Perry Greene 1842 from Greene Twp Perry Jefferson 1818 (or 1817) from Pine Creek Twp Perry Lawrence 1849 Perry Mercer 1851 from Sandy Creek Twp Perry Snyder 1816 from Mahantango Twp Perry Twp, Clarion County was originally part of Perry Twp, Armstrong County. When Clarion County was formed the part that falls in Clarion County kept the same name, in the new county. Now they are separated by the Allegheny River. It looks like The Pennsylvania Line missed one. James Hindman Peterborough, England
