Hi Sue, I have been looking for years for documentation on the Anna Susanna Sheaffer-Wilhelm Best marriage. Their daughter Catherine was supposedly married to Nicholas Silvius. Do you have any documentation for either of these marriages? All the researchers I have corresponded with claim to have oral tradition but nothing concrete either on the marriages or the parentage of Catherine. I have the estate settlement of Wilhelm Best, which includes all the orphan court records, and it names all the minor children and the oldest son but doesn't name the two children who were of age. Will share anything I have in exchange for documentation on Catherine and Nicholas and Susannah and Wilhelm. Thanks. Annie PS The land of Wilhelm Sr was sold to the oldest son according to the Orphan Court records, but there are no land records for this transaction nor is there a record of him selling the land. Since he left Northampton and went to Westmoreland County in the late 1700 I have never been able to figure out what eventually happened to the land. -----Original Message----- From: Bob <cyberbob@nb.net> To: PAARMSTR-L@rootsweb.com <PAARMSTR-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, March 29, 1998 6:10 PM Subject: Re: [PAARMSTR-L] The John George SMITH, Sr. Geneology >Jackie, > >Is this the same George Smith (1717-1756) who came to America on the >"Winter Galley" in 1738?
