Dear Stan: I saw your Leonard surname. I am trying to confirm the ancestors of Albert Truby Cooper, b. 3/26/1897 in Parker, Arsmtrong County, PA.. I know that he was married to Ella Leonard, b. 1866, in Parker. It's Ella's ancestors I am interested in. I believe her father was John Leonard, born in Pittsburgh, a leading businessman in Butler County/Armstrong County, associated with the Thomas Wightman Company (glassworks). He also would have been a large landowner, and superintendant of the Bear Creek Furnace, after 1833. He died 1884 in "an accident." He was married to Margaret B. Bordidge, of Pittsburgh. This couple had, inter alia, another daughter Emma Leoanrd of Parker who married Samuel Truby Robinson. The father of John was Reuben Leonard born in England, died 11/18/1880 in Parker, married to Ann L. Edward. Do you know if Ella Leonard was in fact the daughter of John Leonard? Thank you very much.
