I have two old ledger books that show names & items purchased from a "Johnstons & Martins ". The dates are around 1871/1872. In the front of one it says "Johnstons & Martins Day Book 1872 April 8". Anyone know of a store in Atwood by that name during the 1870's? My Great Great Grandfather, John E. Stewart may have been the bookkeeper Or worked in the store. My Stewart family lived near Atwood.
