    3. Hi MaryBeth....Welcome and I too enjoy the Armstrong list and find it one of the most lively and polite I have the pleasure of belonging to. I have, probably, one of your STITT'S as the dates match up. Recently when hitting block walls I have turned to the married surnames and found the Armstrong list people most helpful: John STITT, son of Dave STITT, married Laura HEILMAN, daughter of Simon and Susan SMITH HEILMAN and they resided at the foot of Meltzer Flats... Other children of Simon, born 1 Nov 1824, son of Daniel and Lydia YOUNT and Susan SMITH HEILMAN were: Ed; Laura (the one mentioned above) Lizzie; Nancy; Ann; Sam and Sara Ellen. These children may be siblings of your STITT marriage into the Heilman's and may provide some clues to your family. The Heilman family was well represented in Armstrong County as well as the Lehigh area and married into some of the more prevalent names of the area beteen 1750 and 1890. Good louck in your search, MaryBeth and I do hope we find we share relatves of these two well represented Armstrong families.... Monette
