I did not get into the beginning part of this thread concerning the burial of John Davis d.1852 in a Clinton Twp. Don't know if this will be of any value or not, but I own Venango Co. cemetery records and there is a Clinton Twp. there. In those records there is a John C. Davis d. 1 Mar 1862, 26y 4m 18d, Civil War.
