I'm sorry I don't have any info on your surnames. There are several Armstrong County books that might help you, though. You may already know about them, but I thought I would pass along this info just in case. I'm pretty sure that at least one of them has information on Plum Creek. Genealogical and Personal History of the Allegheny Valley, Pennsylvania, under the editorial supervision of John W. Jordan, LL. D., Volume II (I don't know about Volume 1--I didn't personally find any information there, if indeed I even looked at it), New York: Lewis Historical Publishing Co., 1913 Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, Her People, Past and Present, Embracing a History of the County and a Genealogical and Biographical Record of Representative Families, in Two Volumes, Illustrated, Chicago: J. H. Beers & Co., 1914 History of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, Robert Walter Smith, Chicago: Waterman, Watkins & Co., 1883 All three are in a set called the "Cox Collection," available on microfilm at the LDS Family History Centers. You may have to order them, though. If you are near PA, you might be able to find the books at your library. I am in AZ, so my best bet was the microfilms.
