Name: Jean Hamlin McDermott Husband: Glenn W. McDermott Live in Arizona. My husband is a retired banker and I am a retired accountant. Both of us were born in eastern Ohio and lived in Southern California 30 years. Have been in genealogy about 10 years. Wish I had started sooner. Went to Butler County, Pennsylvania several years ago to research the McDermott family. Found husband's ancestor, Paul McDermott, who moved into Butler County in 1798. Am now trying to learn about the Burford and Martin families that were in Armstrong County, PA from about 1800 to 1900. The Burford family settled in Sugar Creek Twp. (wherever that is). I have little else on the family.
