Dan, The Slate Lick Presbyterian Church, the first Presbyterian church in Armstrong County, was organized in 1801, but had services as early as 1798, and was formally organized in 1802. The first paster was Rev. John Boyd. The first records, from 1801 to 1835, have never been found. If you have access to an L.D.S. Family History Center, the above information and much more is available on FHL Microfilm #0856807.
