Hi all, There has been a number of messages posted about folks receiving messages with attachments which turn out to be viruses. My words of warning: 1 - DO NOT open any attachment that you received from someone that you were not expecting to receive. 2 - Purchase and install a good virus scanning software program and keep it updated! That latest virus that is going around and is really hitting hard on these mailing lists is W32/[email protected] This mass mailing worm attempts to send itself using Microsoft Outlook by replying to unread email messages. A clue that you've received a message infected with it is that it will have an attachment with one of the following file names: Card.pif docs.scr fun.pif hamster.ZIP.scr Humor.TXT.pif images.pif New_Napster_Site.DOC.scr news_doc.scr Me_nude.AVI.pif Pics.ZIP.scr README.TXT.pif s3msong.MP3.pif searchURL.scr SETUP.pif Sorry_about_yesterday.DOC.pif YOU_are_FAT!.TXT.pif The message body may contain the text: Take a look to the attachment. DO NOT open the attachment! Please do not post messages to the mailing list stating that you've received a virus. Please be kind and reply to the person that the message came from and tell them that you received a message that contained a virus. Most folks will be unaware that their computer is infected. Thanks so much!! Nate Listmaster
