Loretta, I am also researching the Gearhart family in armstrong co. I know for sure that Abram gearhart is my gg grandfather b. 1851 married Caroline Richner. I believe that Abram's father is david gearhart who married abbie ann schaffer. The confusing part is that in the 1900 cenus there is a david gearhart b. 1821 living with Abram and is listed as abram's grandfather, but I think it may be his father. either way with a birth date of 1821 he could possibly be a cousin or brother to your george gearhart. I know it's a stretch and doesn't help much but if we are researching the same gearharts it would be nice to have someone to compare notes with. jenn rankin In a message dated 1/11/04 4:01:29 AM Pacific Standard Time, lorettam@adelphia.net writes: << I am looking for information concerning the GEARHART FAMILY. I am especially interested in finding the original immigrant from our family branch. Was he ADAM GEARHART and did he emigrate from Alsace-Loraine? Thanks very much for any help.
