Hello to all. I have had a genealogical breakthrough in the past few weeks. I have found a MISSING member of my HAWK branch of my family (and wife and family) in Goochland Co., VA. This is the line I am speaking of: David b. 14 June 1820 (reportedly by some as 26 May 1823) Armstrong Co., PA; d. 25 Dec 1876, Indiana Co., PA; m. Esther JOHN b. abt. 1824/1827? Washington twp., Armstrong Co PA; d. 1892/1895? Armstrong Co. PA, washington twp, ?; (**Esther re-married one of her cousins a Martin JOHN after David died.**) ...William Henry HAWK b. May 1844, Armstrong or Indiana Co., PA; d.? in Goochland Co., VA; m. Nancy Ann LOWMASTER, b. 22 Aug 1851, Canoe Twp.,Indiana CO PA; d. abt 1918? Goochland CO., VA; They had these 10 children: Charles R. HAWK b. ca 1879? Armstrong CO PA; d. Goochland CO VA; Charlotta (Lottie?, Lotta?) HAWK b. ca 1879?; d. VA or PA?; Lena HAWK b. ca 1879 ?; d. ?; William HAWK b. ca. 1879?; d. Goochland VA David b. ca. 1879?; d. Goochland Sara HAWK b. ca. 1879?; d. Goochland VA/Arm. CO PA?; Robert HAWK b. Dec 1881 Goochland VA; d. Same; Frank HAWK b. Oct 1885, Goochland VA; d. same; Clark HAWK b. Aug 1886, Goochland VA; d. same; George HAWK, b. April 1890; d. same; William and Nancy listed above moved to Goochland Co. VA from Armstrong Co. PA. William is the brother to my 2nd Gr/Grandfather John Martin HAWK (m. Anna/Ann Eliza BOWSER). I have met some of the descendants of William and Nancy here in VA. They live about an hour and a half from my home area. One of my cousins of William's line (and his wife), will be traveling to Armstrong County the weekend of July 22 and 23 and possibly into the next week. Are any of you of the line of David HAWK (George HAWK, JR.; George HAWK, SR.) and/or Esther JOHN (Martin JOHN, JR.; Martin JOHN, SR.; also of the line of: Matthias SR. and JR. BAUSSER/BOWSER) listed above? If so, do ANY of you still live in Armstrong Co. and could perhaps show my cousin and wife around the area? My cousin doesn't know I have asked this question to our list, just thought I would try to help him out.
