I have a copy of an 1861 Armstrong County Map that has the names of land owners on it. My copy was made from the copy that the Armstrong County Court House Map Division has. It is on one huge sheet of paper, that I unroll when needed. The names are a little fuzzy, due to the fact that it is a copy made version and not a published typed version. Cost I believe was about $4.00 a year ago. I might add that they will not make you a copy if there is too much dampness in the air. Something about the ink will run too much. At any rate, what I wanted to stress was the date of this map - that being 1861. To the best of my knowledge there is no idex to this map, but there is one for the 1876 map published in book form by Mechling.
