Recently my local museum did some look-ups for me on a great site I hadn't used before. www.interment.net It lists tombstone inscriptions by county and state, but is an all volunteer thing. There may be 35 cemetaries in a county, but if only 5 have been "walked through" by a volunteer making notes, then those are the only ones listed there. She also likes www.birth-certificates.net Maybe one of those will help someone out there. Does anyone know of a really great site or chat group that is helpful in identifying old adoption records/ birth parents? This was an 1898 adoption in Missouri. The formal records are sealed. Surely there is a way cheaper than $500 to "unseal" them !!! Thanks to all! Peggy
