    3. Georgia, I assume you are referring to the St. Michaels Evangelical Lutheran Church at Brick Church, PA. Brick Church is near Crooked Creek, but I've never heard it referred to as "Evangelical Lutheran Church at the Crooked Creek Settlement, Kittanning Township," especially since it is not in Kittanning Township, but Burrell Twp. If the data are the same, I'm quessing someone made a terrible mistake in identifyiing the proper church. BTW, much of my family went to St. Michaels at Brick Church and we had our family reunion there last year. I am very familiar with the area. >Date: Tue, 9 Oct 2001 15:07:10 -0400 >From: "Georgia Halloran" <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Subject: [PAARMSTR-L] Church records > >Hi, I find on "Treasures of the Past" two church records that have the >same info. 1. [PAARMSTR-L] Burrell Twp was Kittanning Twp

    3. St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church is today in what we know of as Burrell Twp, back years ago it was a part of Kittanning Twp. If you look at the Armstrong County maps at Treasures you will see where the various townships came from in the county. On the 1849-1867 map you will find Burrell Twp as coming in to being from Kittanning Twp. Treasures was given both church records separately and did not realize that they could be one and the same, they will be looking into it. C ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fred H.
