    3. Hello List: Last year I discovered that my great grandmother, Laura Silvis (1873), was the daughter of Michael K. Silvis - either from an earlier marriage of Michael or an unwed situtation. Whatever - he sired Laura with Malena Rupert, who much later wed Josiah George and lived in South Bend until death in 1922. In 1880, Laura was living with her aunt, Franny Frantz King. That's where I discovered her name was Silvis. Her mother, Malena, was living nearby with Laura's grandmother, Hannah Frantz Rupert. There are also 4 boys labeled grandsons in that household in the 1880 census, and I don't know why I never thought of researching them, but I just did. (Oh now I remember - there are 3 other adult sisters in the household, so I figured these boys must be theirs because I didn't know of any brothers of Laura) The boys are, in 1880 age: Milton - 12 Harry - 9 Newton - 7 Charlie - 4 Forget Charlie. He's a Wherry. (Migawd!) However, I'm able to find Silvi in the 1910 census that might be our lost boys: Milton Silvis, age 31, Butler County Harriet, 27 Cecil, 7 Newton H. Silvis. age 31, Armstrong County Orpha, 32 Harry M.F. Silvis, Armstrong County Clara, 35 Lena P., 12 Joseph W., 11 Thompson J., 9 Mary C., 4 Does anybody know those individuals? Could they be more children of Michael K.? Tom
