Hi -- I've been searching Pennsylvania Townsends for awhile and came across your "Silvus/Silvius" and "Wherry" surnames. I've got those in my listings, but not as current as your dates. Does someone have a better listing that I can connect with? Sorry to bother the list with this -- you can contact me privately at mr.t@integrity.com I have (John) Nicholas Silvius - Silvis from Salem Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA in the late 1700's as well as others. Abby: You are a wonder! Thank you for those many newspaper items. They really have helped clear up portions of my puzzle. What is your source for those? Are you able to cut and paste them into email, or do you have to type each one? By the way, the following has to be way wrong. I think Sally Walker died in 1909. > > Indiana Messenger, October 8, 1931 > > MARRIAGES > > Wherry-Walker--On the 20th of September, John N. Wherry, of South Bend, > to Sallie Walker, of Shelocta.
