    3. Hi Tom, My grandfather has two headstones. The reason; My grandmother and grandfather bought a stone when my grandmother died or maybe before she died. She wanted to be buried with her parent and some siblings. This is in Jefferson county. After she died and the stone was placed with both names my grandfather re married a third time. His third wife outlived him and she wanted him buried in her plot. Later the third wife died and they are in the same plot. So he is buried in Butler County, the stone has his death date, and his name is also on a stone in Jefferson County but no death date is inscribed. This is my experience. I know this because of it being done in my lifetime. I don`t know how you can tell which place has the body. For example, I was just looking at Mary Jane Schaeffer-Rupert, who has a headstone among both the Schaeffers and the Ruperts in the Brick Church Cemetery. Other times, I have noticed headstones for the same individual at both Brick Church and South Bend. > > Am I seeing double, or was this a common practice?
