    3. Debbie, I have been to the Kittanning Courthouse in Kittanning, PA and found original records on microfilm of marriages dating back to 1824. I do believe that there is someone in the courthouse who will look up records for you but I don't have their web address handy. 2. Connie, I was so sorry that I missed you when I came to Pennsylvania in May. It was such a fun trip and just seeing the places my ancestors had traveled and lived was worth the trip. We were in Big Run where both my grandparents and my father were born. I guess the main things I found were obituaries where the Historical societies had files of them. One week wasn't enough time. 3. Pearl Thank you for checking the cemetary records. I was hoping to find my gggrandmother Maria Salome Fleckenstein. It may be that she did not survive the trip in 1847. Earl Werden Fleckenstein was the son of Conrad Fleckenstein, and Conrad and my grandfather Thomas were brothers. The records from Sts.Peter and Paul, Queenstown are held by the Diocese of Greensburg. Unfortunatly, do to budget problems, they no longer have an Archivist. The information we have was obtained about 4 years ago. I suspect that those records my also be at St.Patrick in Bradys Bend, but I have had no response from the Pastor there. These parishs merged at some point in time. I anyone has an idea how these records could be accessed, it would be helpfull to both of us. Bill Fleckenstein

    3. Hello: My name is Bill Fleckenstein and I am researching the family of my greatgrandparents Philipp and Catherine Fleckenstein. Philipp, his brother Johann, sisters Margaretha and Katherina and possibly his mother Salome Bott Fleckenstein came to the US from Bavaria in 1847. They settled in the Bradys Bend Area. Philipp married Catherine Bergmann ca 1849. Johann married Catherine Hartmann ca 1847, Margaretha married Martin Seitz in 1847 and later about 1850 married Conrad Freund. Katherina married Johann Loew in 1849. The only hard evidence of Armstrong county is Philipp and Catherine in the 1850 Census (name spelled Fleckstein). The baptism of son John at Sts Peter and Paul, Queenstown, the marriage of Margaretha to Martin Seitz at the same church. Brother Thomas and his wife Elizabeth came from Bavaria in 1852 and brother Joseph and wife Margaret cane in 1856. Does any of this ring a bell for anyone ? I sure hope so as this has been a stone wall. We have traced the family in Germany back to the late 1600's. Thanks, Bill in Ohio
