    3. Abby: You are a wonder! Thank you for those many newspaper items. They really have helped clear up portions of my puzzle. What is your source for those? Are you able to cut and paste them into email, or do you have to type each one? By the way, the following has to be way wrong. I think Sally Walker died in 1909. > > Indiana Messenger, October 8, 1931 > > MARRIAGES > > Wherry-Walker--On the 20th of September, John N. Wherry, of South Bend, > to Sallie Walker, of Shelocta.

    2. Hi -- I've been searching Pennsylvania Townsends for awhile and came across your "Silvus/Silvius" and "Wherry" surnames. I've got those in my listings, but not as current as your dates. Does someone have a better listing that I can connect with? Sorry to bother the list with this -- you can contact me privately at mr.t@integrity.com I have (John) Nicholas Silvius - Silvis from Salem Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA in the late 1700's as well as others. 3. Pardon me for jumping in here but I have a great grandmother Catherine Sara Frantz. She died in 1895 at age 35 years. She and my g grandfather Samuel Kelichner lived in Henderson Twp. Jefferson Co. I know this is Armstrong county list but perhaps someone has relatives of my Catherine (Katie) Frantz. I have very little info on her and would welcome any help or suggestions from anyone. They are both buried in Paradise Cemetery, along with a son, with no markers. 3. Hannah and Franny are granddaughters of Jacob Frantz and Elizabeth Otterman. Their father was Abraham, and their mother was Susanna Davis. Three of their daughters married Kings, 1 Rupert, and 1 George. I think everybody in South Bend was somehow related to the Frantz family. > QUESTION: ARE SISTERS FRANNY FRANTZ KING AND HANNAH FRANTZ RUPERT THE > DAUGHTERS OF JACOB FRANTZ (ABT JULY 1763-APRIL 18, 1832) AND ANNA ELIZABETH > OTTERMAN (APRIL 15, 1766-1853?)

John and Lydia Welder were in Red Bank in these census years and had at least six children--- Peter(born about 1834), William(born about 1836), Benjamin(born about 1838), Maria(born about 1840), John(born about 1842), and Adam(born about 1847). I'm also interested in exchanging information on this family with anyone out there. Thanx so much for your time and interest. Kerm in Berks County

    3. > At last a big mystery may be solved--This Indiana Paper--Where was it published--Indiana or Armstrong County. Hi: It was published in Indiana PA, but it covered parts of Armstrong news. The stuff Abby posted was mostly about South Bend. ..... Abby - thanks mucho for that! I had a few of those items, but not the news of my great great grandmother's death - AND not that Alvie Hanna was her son. That makes the situation even more strange. I now have 4 men connected to her - Mr. Hanna, Michael Silvis, Mr. Wherry, and Josiah George. (I suspect John N. Wherry and William Hanna!!) If anybody out there is a South bend expert, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Harvey Hanna ran the general store in South Bend in 1930.
