Does anyone on the list have a copy of the book from St. Patricks Catholic Church in Sugar Creek, Armstrong County, published in 1988? This was a printed copy of the records from the church dating back to 1806. I saw this book a few years ago and was able to verify a marriage. Now I would like to get a copy of the page for my records. Linda
George is Isaac's father. Isaac is buried in Salem Cemetery, Brady Twp., Clearfield Co. No one that I have had contact with, so far, seems to have gotten very far. You would think someone would have at least verbally passed down some family history. I really have not gotten very far. I think Abram's father is David and that his second wife is abbie ann schaeffer. I cannot find any info on who his first wife was or the names of abram's brother's and sisters. although some of his step sibling were listed as living with him in the census. their names are Myra, john, harry, caroline and mary. Is george who was married to Catherine Whitesell the parents of Isaac miller gearhart? Do you know where isaac is buried? Look forward to hearing from you. Jenn Rankin
Thanks so much, Jenn. It definitely appears we are from the same family line. Beyond Pennsylvania, I am finding my Gearharts very difficult to trace. Have you had any luck tracing them back to Germany? Hi Loretta: Not sure how our gearhart's connect, but your maria Richner is the sister of Caroline Richner. Caroline Richner was married to Abram Gearhart who is my gg grandfather. My gearharts also resided in the jefferson, armstrong and indiana cos. I'm sure there is a connection, it may just take some digging to find it. Abram has been my brick wall for about a year now. Look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Jenn, My g. grandfather was Isaac Gearhart, whose second wife was Maria Richner, dau. of Elias Richner and Elizabeth Eminhouser, b. Nov. 1853, Penn Twp., Clearfield Co. My Gearhart line came from the area of Indiana, Armstrong and Jefferson Cos. Later, my grandfather, John Gearhart, and wife and children settled in Curwensville. Does any of this sound familiar, at all, to you. I hope so! Loretta, I am also researching the Gearhart family in armstrong co. I know for sure that Abram gearhart is my gg grandfather b. 1851 married Caroline Richner. I believe that Abram's father is david gearhart who married abbie ann schaffer. The confusing part is that in the 1900 cenus there is a david gearhart b. 1821 living with Abram and is listed as abram's grandfather, but I think it may be his father. either way with a birth date of 1821 he could possibly be a cousin or brother to your george gearhart. Well, my curiosity is going fullspeed. Maybe because I am getting some responses, from others with questions they have too. And if they are watching the list, perhaps they will get their answer. One of them is on the Buzzard/Bussard line, and this is what was asked - Miles Putney Rupp who married Lillian Agnes Bussard/Buzzard. Have you found any more on Lillian Agnes Bussard/Buzzard. I have Bussard/Buzzard family members buried in Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wayne Twp.,Armstrong Co.Pa. I know they are married into my Bargerstock family, but the large gravestone only has the surname Buzzard on it and no dates or given names. Cemetery records have no other information on this grave site. I wish I could find someone researching the Bussard family from Wayne Twp., Armstrong Co. Pa. Anna Mariah Catherine Bargerstock married Henry Bussard and I can not find their grave site, (possible at Concord Cemetery, but not sure). They had only 1 son, Homer Bussard. He married Peryl Kunselman. They are buried at Glade Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dayton, Pa. I would appreciate any info on this family. Also, anyone know anything about John Bussard/Buzzard (1799 - 1870) married to Elizabeth McAninch. The McAninch line is one of mine.
One more question, I hope. Can anyone tell me, if George Rupp, married to Elizabeth Reedy Rupp Edwards, was the brother to Adam Rupp married to Rosena Hartzell? Is there some documentation for this? Linda

Last year I had several people contact me from the lists about the Native American Ancestor Roster, and my book series mentioned in my signature. I am still collecting Native American Ancestor Roster registrations to appear in Volume III of my book series Who's Looking For Whom In Native American Ancestry. The first volume to concentrate on one state. If you, or anyone you know that is researching Native Ancestors in Pennsylvania and would like to have the added exposure for their research that these books provide. All you have to do is email me for a registration form. About the NATIVE AMERICAN ANCESTORS ROSTER I am not a Genealogist for hire. I do not research anyone's ancestors for them. I only refer researchers to each other and research resources. The roster contains the name of the person doing the research, so I am able to refer researchers to each other in the hopes of reuniting lost relatives. Anyone contacting the Roster about your ancestor will be given your contact information. They will contact you directly for further information. Registration is FREE. But each Ancestors name must be submitted separately. You can make as many copies of the registration form as you need. You can make as many copies as you want and hand them out to other researchers as well. I'm sorry but I cannot accept them via email. I need the signed registration forms on file giving me permission to give out the contact information. All registered Ancestors information, and researchers contact information will be published in upcoming Volumes of "Who's Looking For Whom In Native American Ancestry". When the form is received, I will check the Roster for others researching the same names. If no one has registered as researching the names or a similar surname, I will check other files at my disposal for information. These other files include: Tribal contact addresses. Information on researching specific tribes. List of surnames common to certain tribes. URL for Websites of interest recommended by other researchers in the network. Registering your ancestors ensures you can take full advantage of future referrals. NATIVE AMERICAN ANCESTORS ROSTER REGISTRATION When you request and recieve the Roster Registration form. Please type or print legibly, I cannot be held responsible for any information incorrectly copied from your form. And tell me your family tradition in 250 words or less. Keep a copy of the form for your records. You must send a self addressed stamped envelope if you wish acknowledgment of receipt. Then, Please contact me by mail if any of your contact information (name, address, phone #) changes. Keeping your contact information up to date will allow me to refer those enquiries interested in your ancestor.
