Several of these Glenns went to Centre county and more of this family went on to Mercer and later to Lawrence County(which was a part of Mercer at one time). The Huntingdon County Historical Society and the Pennsylvania Room and the Centre County Library in Bellefonte, PA. have quite a bit of information in their surname files re: Glenn. Also try Mercer and Lawrence County. Beware...Glenn searching is tough..there were lots of them and the same given names keep cropping up. ==== PAARMSTR Mailing List ==== To contact Patti Caldwell Fasy, Listmistress, click below: mailto:glitters@naples.infi.net remember, "Please practice random acts of kindness"........

    2. Stan & Carolyn Slippern
    3. Mary Moore (1806-1877) married Jacob E. Bowser (1805-1883). Their daughter, Hannah Jane Bowser (1835-1867?), was born in Armstrong County, PA. Mary's dad was Archibald Moore (1790's?) and her grandfather was David Moore (1760's). Any further information about these gentlemen would be most welcome. Further question--Did Mary die (May 26, 1877) in Armstrong Co.? Where was she born (July 14, 1806)?? Thank you!! 1. Re:Locating Cemeteries and other things
    2. Fred H. Held
    3. In several queries lately I've noticed requests for locating cemeteries and villages throughout the area. There are at least two good sources on the net to help locate places. There may be others. One is http://www.mapquest.com/ where many old settlements are still identified throughout the area as well as the roads to get there. MapQuest also give street locations of most cities and towns in the US as well as many other places in the world. It is great for finding those small villages in Germany, in conjunction with http://www1.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm. The other is the US government at http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html, where you enter details like "cemetery" and county and state and it gives you a list of those places found in its database (some old ones are not listed). You can also enter "township" and it will give all of the townships in an area. You can then identify the one of interest and it will give some details. From there you can then request the map of its location. I used the USGS to locate the Lawnhaven Cemetery and it clearly shows there is one on the north side of US422 west of Kittanning. 1. Re: Cranberry Township Venango Cemetery
    2. The following URL is very handy for finding the locations of various places of interest...including cemeteries, libraries, historical societies, courthouses, etc. http://local.yahoo.com/local/ What you do is find the county in which you are interested, then click on Yellow Pages. Then type in the name of the cemetery, or whatever. Then, when the listing shows up, click on Map It! This will give you a map that you can zoom in or out, and even "scroll" up, down, left or right (or rather north, south, east or west). I believe you can even print it, but I've not yet tried this. Hope this helps! 1. Dickey family
    2. Cary Gould
    3. Hello: Now that I have a bit more information, I thought that I would give this request another try. I am posting this message to Indiana, Westmoreland and Jefferson CO. lists. My great grandfather was David Montgomery Dickey who was born in Indiana Co. on April 17, 1877. I now know that he had 2 brothers and 3 sisters. They are: William H. d. June 2, 1951 Coatesville,PA Joseph M. b. Mar. 28,1880 Penn Run, PA, d. Jun. 9, 1954 Vandergrift, PA m. Myma Ross Edwin M. George H. Jane m. Ezra Gibson, Sep. 11, 1912 Cherryhill Twp.,PA Mary Jane m. Wilmer L. Uncapher Margaret m. Mr. Elliott Sarah m. George Linsenbigler Their parents were, James M. Dickey b. 1844, Cherryhill Twp., d. Jan. 27, 1921, Erie, PA. and his wife Mary Haddin. I know that David moved to Apollo, Armstrong Co. by 1898 where my grandmother Hulda Grace Dickey was born. She and my grandfather Reed Charles Gould lived their lives in Vandergrift, Westmoreland Co. David and his wife Edna Say moved to Hamilton, Ont. about 1918-1920, taking another daughter, Margaret, with them. Edna I believe was from the Dayton, Armstrong Co. area. I am looking for ancestors and descendants of all individuals, any help or information would be greatly appreciated. A public thanks to Connie Mayo, Chuck Bollinger and Gary Gibson for help and information to date. 2. Jim; I think I know where this one is also Jim. It is on the highway between Oil City and route 322. I would have to check a map for the route number. From Oil City you would go south toward the Cranberry Mall. The cemetery is on that road about 3 or 4 miles from Oil CIty.
