    1. Re: Mystery Name on Census
    2. Roger & Mary Scott
    3. Thanks so much for the responses and suggestions I have received on my mystery name similar to Kemerer/Kemmer, etc., etc. I believe I have definitely ruled out any of similar names that have a p,y,g,h,l , etc. as there appear to be no downward or upward letters in this name. I will keep searching and would appreciate any feedback if anyone finds a Robert S. or Leonard E. Kemerer, Kemmer, and so on. 2. James Hindman
    3. Hi, Since you're interested in Armstrong County, and mentioned the Stuart name, thought I would mention my first cousin, once removed, Joyce Hindman Powers. Her mother, Alma Stuart Hindman, I think originally came from Numine, or Yatesboro, or somewhere in that area. She'll be 89 in April, and lives with Joyce. That's about all I can tell you. You might already know them, but if not, let me know if you would like Joyce's address Also, there used to be a Louden Stuart who worked in the First National Bank in New Bethlehem in the 40s and 50s. I think he and Alma were related in some way, maybe second cousins. Louden's son, Jim, was a couple years behind me in school Jim Hindman ==== PAARMSTR Mailing List ==== To contact Patti Caldwell Fasy, Listmistress, click below: mailto:glitters@naples.infi.net remember, "Please practice random acts of kindness"........

This is where my ggrandfather and ggrandmother (and possibly my grandfather) are buried. An address and telephone number would be greatly appreciated. 3. hey there- the name Kemerer I have also seen spelled as Kimerer- I think they probably are all related as they sound the same. Follow any leads on any of those spellings. I've missed a few leads on my Diedrich lines because I overlooked "Diederich" with that extra "e". Try wills and deeds... 1. Mystery Name on Census
    2. Roger & Mary Scott
    3. Trying to decipher handwriting on a census record and I need help. Possible names I have come up based on the number of letters and structure of the name. Kemmerer, Kemerer, Kenemer, Kenimer, Kennamer, Kennemer, Kennemore, or Kenneson Armstrong Co. 1920, Licking TWP. Wondering if anyone has anyone in their info about a Robert S. or Leonard E. with the above similar last name? Robert was born abt 1905 and Leonard abt 1907. They were grandchildren of Robert N. and Tamer E. Scott, and apparently living with them, the Scott's were in their 70's. I have no information on the name of the children's mother, who I assume would be Robert and Tamer Scott's daughter. Sound familiar to anyone??? 1. New to List
    2. Hi. My name is Patrick Beltz and am living down south just outside of New Orleans. I am researching the BELTZ family name. My g-g-grandfather, Adam BELTZ, moved to Armstrong Co. about 1836 from Allegheny Co. Where he came from before is not known other than his being born in PA. The 1880 census stated his birthplace as PA. Also it stated his father was from Germany and his mother was from PA. He married a Susanna Wagner of PA. They are buried in Barrecca Cemetery in Plumville, Indiana Co. PA. The family lived in Plumcreek Twp and Cowashannock Twp. They moved to Plumville in the late 1870's. They had the following children: 1. Elizabeth BELTZ - b. abt. 1830 2. Mary Ann BELTZ - b. abt. 1832 3. Daniel BELTZ - b. 9 Mar 1834 in Pittsburgh d. 13 Feb 1912 in Scioto Co, OH - Daniel married first a Caroline OILER. They divorced and he married Mary HARKLEROAD, daughter of George Adam HARKLEROAD and Susan MARTIN. 4. Rachel BELTZ - b. 10 Aug 1836 d. 24 Oct 1920. She is buried in the Methodist Church cemetery in Whitesburg, PA. She was married to John Cook Craft. 5. Sarah BELTZ - b. 10 Aug 1836. She is a twin to Rachel. 6. Margaret Jane BELTZ - b. 17 Jan 1839 d. 14 Dec 1908 in Adams Co, OH. She was married to Isaac L. Rearick in 1861. 7. Andrew Jackson BELTZ - b. 1 Apr 1841 in Whitesburgh, PA d. 18 Nov 1915 in Plumville, PA. He was married to a Charlotte CESSNA. 8. Rebecca BELTZ - b. abt. 1843 9. Malinda BELTZ - b. 1846 d. 1873 10. Susanna BELTZ - b. abt. 1850 I am trying to find info on the birthplace and the parents names of Adam. Also, any info on the daughters that I don't have any info on. I would appreciate any info about who they married. I would be glad to share what info I have. 3. I am looking for the parents of Marie JONES, wife of Harry E. J. PUTNEY. A biographical source listed them as David and Emma JONES. I found a David and Emma Jones from Pennsylvania on a GEDCOM, but it did not continue down to the next generation. That file listed David JONES' parents as Jonathan JONES (b. 4 OCT 1814 in SC) and Elizabeth RODERICK (b. 23 OCT 1827). Jonathan's parents were listed as Thomas JONES and Kizzie ROBERTS. Elizabeth's parents were listed as John RODERICK (b. 15 JUN 1791 in PA) and Elizabeth KNIFE (b. 13 APR 1790, in Frederick, Maryland). If anyone is researching this JONES family or any of these associated families, I could use any information they have that would confirm or deny the connection to Marie JONES. 3. I am looking for an Edward Patrick QUINN who I think was in Armstrong County around 1900. He married Sadie (Sarah?) KRAMER. His daughter, Catherine Margaret QUINN was born in 1902, I believe, in Armstrong County. Catherine married David J. PUTNEY, possibly in Kittanning. Edward Patrick QUINN was apparently in Arizona at some time prior to his marriage to Sadie KRAMER, had Catherine in PA, then moved to Raton, NM during her early childhood (around 1905?). Catherine then was a student in PA at some later date, because she went to school with Jean PUTNEY, David's sister, and met him through her. It is possible that the school was either the Reidsburg Clarion Academy or the Clarion Normal School, since Harry E. J. PUTNEY, David Judson PUTNEY's father was a student there. If you have any information on Sadie KRAMER, Edward Patrick QUINN, or information on finding out about students at either of the above schools, please let me know. Thanks! 1. Leopold/Wagner and Leopold/Barnhart
    2. Leopold, Gary
    3. My great grandfather Jacob LEOPOLD married a Sophia WAGNER on 16 Jan 1866 at Brady's Bend, Armstrong County, PA. Supposedly she was born in 1841 and died on 31 Jan 1877 in East Brady, Butler County, PA. There were at least seven children from this marriage. After her death, my great grandfather remarried to Marie Ellan BARNHART from Butler County and then headed off to MN and homesteaded. I am descended from this second marriage from which there were nine children. I spent a day in Butler in the Butler County Library and with great help from their friendly staff made phenomenal progress on my Barnhart line and picked up some good clues on my great great grandmother Rachel FORINGER Barnhart. But the only Wagner info that I have is Sophia Wagner's info that I have included in this note. I got that information from Jacob Leopold's Civil War pension records. Although I am not directly related to the Wagner's by blood, I am very interested in making a Wagner connection. They are family as well and most of the children by the Leopold-Wagner marriage came to MN and became part of the Leopold-Barnhart-(Wagner) household and clan. I plan get back up to PA in the Spring. Any help before then would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
