i have had much luck with st patricks church. keep trying. you may want to give them a call, the secretarys name is Mary, cant remember her last name. i think whe is in the office mon-fri between 1 and 3. she is there by herself and has much to do as are all the rural catholic churches in the area.they only have baptismal records and marriage records. they do have a cemetery, and i think they do have the records there at the church. good luck.
I only have Hilliards if they married into the Bishes, which they did frequently. Actually, I don't know anyone who is working on Hilliard, do you? Well, most of the Bishes were situated just across the river in Armstrong Co., PA near Kellersburg, but the ones that were in Clarion resided in Shannondale and thereabouts. Some names are Wolfgang, Freedline, McMasters, Kunkle, Bowersox, Shick, and Hilliard. I am looking for Edward Patrick QUINN who married Sadie KRAMER in Pennsylvania. Their oldest daughter Catherine was born in Braddock in 1902, and married David PUTNEY from Kittanning (son of Harry E. J. Putney from Putneyville/ Kittanning). This Edward Patrick QUINN has been hard to find. I found a family that could possibly be my QUINNs, but don't have enough information to go on yet. Is anyone else researching this line? Or does anyone else remember seeing them on a church list or any other source? My guess is that they were Catholic. The only other info I have on Edward Patrick QUINN is not much help-- He was a gambler He may have been involved in the PA Bessemer Steel process, possibly in partnership for a short time with KELLY He worked in some way with model trains He was in AZ before 1900 at some point He took his daughter to Raton, NM around 1905 and stayed for several years, son John may have been born in NM >From the 1880 PA Census, Putneyville/Mahoning area ED 14, p. 12 L. 20 age Occ. place of birth John QUINN 40 H day laborer Ireland Johanna QUINN 40 W Keeping House Ireland Patrick QUINN 17 S Day Laborer England Lizzie QUINN 15 D England Ellen QUINN 13 D England Mary QUINN 12 D England Kate QUINN 10 D PA Daniel QUINN 9 S PA Eugene QUINN 7 S PA *Eddie QUINN 5 S PA John QUINN 1 S PA Edward named his children Catherine and John, both names in this family. It may be a long shot, but if anyone has any info on this family, I would love to see if we have any connections. Thanks, Patti Garcia

Susan Brunot wrote: > Is anyone researching the Grahams of Armstrong Co. or more specifically, the Grahams who lived in the Whitesburg area.? My ancestor was William Graham, who was born sometime around 1807. He married Prudence (Green)Getty. I don't think the Templetons were connected with the Grahams but rather were connected to either the Greens or Sidwells. I have a genealogy of the Presbyterian Greens that settled North Buffalo Township. Luthern Greens settled in Cowanshonnock Township. My direct line dates from 1850 at Redbank and later Rimerton in Madison Township. But in all these the name Prudence has not come up, only the standard Margaret, Elizabeth, Sarahs, so forth. And no connections to Grahams or Templetons that I know of. I am available though for more inquiries on Greens since I too have holes to fill. Brian Green
I have a Josiah Bish married to a Martha Barrett. They lived in Madison Twp., Armstrong co, PA. They had a son, Silas Clarence Bish who was married to a Bertha Bish, a second cousin. There is much confusion between this Silas and another Silas S. Bish who was of another family. This is your Martha Barrett? I do have some info on their children.
