Each cemetery is described in detail and the "readings" of the gravestones are arranged alphabetically. An excellent feature is the all name index available in the back of each book. Of particular interest are pages which list additions and corrections to previous volumes. The Society welcomes the comments of readers concerning additional information, errors and omissions, which will be reviewed and published in subsequent volumes. According to my recent conversation with the obituary column editor of Oil City's Newspaper, "The Derrick", the cost to publish an obituary of any length in $ 42.00. This policy was instituted as of May 1997. An out-of-state subscription to the paper is $ 180.00 per year. Looking for anyone who has done research on the POTZER surname. Specifically I am looking for a Robert POTZER (dates unknown), m. to Margaret DAY (b. Sept. 2, 1876, d. July 26, 1964). Since this is a post to multiple lists, pleaser forgive me for duplication. Two different correspondants have given me a David (B) LINDSEY/LINDSAY b overseas abt 1720 emigrated about 1745 married to Mary FLEMMING settled on a farm near where Pittsburgh, PA., is now situated and reportedly died in 1838 (That makes him a very old man !) They agree on the first four of five children: Hezekiah, Edward/Edmund, David, William and Caleb. In 1807, Edmund and Caleb show up in Clermont County, Ohio. I was not able to locate any of them in Western Pennsylvania in the 1790,1800,1810 census, however my old eyes may have missed them. If anyone has any information on this family it will be gratefully accepted. Someone had posted an inquiry to a group this past week seeking some LINDSEYs. If that person e-mails me I will go through this new information, of over 1000 names, for them.
