    2. Bob Cramer
    3. Hi Fred: Thanks for the reply. I sure would like to look into the possibilities. In addition to Martin below: CRAMER, Martin VanBuren b. 1841 d. 1911 I think Armstrong CRAMER, William Henry Harrison b. 1868 d 12-23-1937 I know Armstrong CRAMER, William Martin b. 8-6-1909 d. 10-2-1970 I know Armstrong. William H had a farm in Vandergrift when my father William M. was born. William H. supposedly was born in Ohio, lived and worked in Birdville (Natrona Heights), Apollo, Oakmont, etc. I had some uncles that lived in Murrysville, Natrona Heights and Oakmont. I don't know much, if anything, about most of the siblings of the three (3) older Cramers as yet, other than some names and a few b & d dates but would love to explore any and all. Thanks again if that's possible. Bob Cramer kathybob@erols.com -----Original Message----- From: Fred H. 1. [PAARMSTR-L] CRAWFORD/SMITH Marriage, 1901
    2. Ann Avery Hunter
    3. On 25 Jun. 1901, somewhere in PA, this marriage took place: Herbert Maurice CRAWFORD & Anna Luella SMITH Herbert CRAWFORD was the son of Samuel Neale CRAWFORD and his wife Rosanna CRUM, who were living in Valley Twp., Armstrong Co. in 1880. Anna Luella SMITH may also have been from Armstrong Co. Does anyone recognize her? I have a very detailed account of the CRAWFORD family done in 1920 by one of Herbert's aunts, but the good lady in giving all of the family names and dates neglected to say WHERE any of these events took place. Any help appreciated. Ann -- Ann Avery Hunter Richmond, Virginia annh@erols.com

    3. Okay we'll try this Stewart family: 1850 Indiana County, PA Census Washington TWP Census date Sept 4, 1850 Joseph Stewart Age 38 Isabella Stewart Age 62 Most likely Joseph's mother? John R. Stewart Age 13 Nancy Stewart Age 10 William Stewart Age 8 Robert Stewart Age 5 Joseph Stewart Age 3 Isabella Stewart Age 1 In the 1900 census it states she was born May 1841. This seems tha correct age. Anyone searching this Stewart line? Although her marriage record states she was from Armstrong County, I believe the boundaries of the counties changed. Pamela

    3. Pam, did you inquire about my Mary Isabel in the John Stewart family? I answered that she had died at a young age abt the same time as her father. This Joseph Stewart was John Stewart's brother. This Mary Jane was born abt 1840. She married a Gillim. (I have a note to check on name Elgin?) This is all I have on her. In the census the J looks like an I. It could be an I but I show Mary Jane & she had a sister Sara Jane. I may have gotten that from a later census. What do you think?? Gin in Topeka, Ks

    3. Maureen, Perry Twp is in the north-western part of Armstrong Co. If you can find Queenstown in your atlas, draw a line through it east-west from the Allegheny River to the Butler Co. line. Everything to the north of this line, east of the Butler Co. line, and west of the Allegheny River is in Perry Twp, until you get just south of Parker. Hope this helps. 3. Someone was looking for PERRY, Pa, but there appears to be no such place. A DeLorme Atlas and Gazeteer for Penna lists a Perry Mead Corners, in Warren County, but that is the nearest thing to the name Perry. However, there are nine Pennsylvania counties that contain a Perry Township. The Pennsylvania Line, published by Southwest Pennsylvania Genealogical Services, Post Office Box 253, Laughlintown PA 15655 lists the nine Perry Townships this way: TOWNSHIP COUNTY FORMED Perry Armstrong 1845 from Sugarcreek Twp Perry Berks 1852 from Windsor Twp Perry Clarion - - - - - while part of Venango County Perry Fayette 1839 from Franklin, Tyrone and Washington Twps Perry Greene 1842 from Greene Twp Perry Jefferson 1818 (or 1817) from Pine Creek Twp Perry Lawrence 1849 Perry Mercer 1851 from Sandy Creek Twp Perry Snyder 1816 from Mahantango Twp Perry Twp, Clarion County was originally part of Perry Twp, Armstrong County. When Clarion County was formed the part that falls in Clarion County kept the same name, in the new county. Now they are separated by the Allegheny River. It looks like The Pennsylvania Line missed one. James Hindman Peterborough, England

    3. Hello All: My ancestor served in the Rev War from Franklin Co. After returning, he stayed in Franklin Co., until after 1800 then left with his wife Elizabeth Straley and their six kids. He lived in Westmoreland Co. and Armstrong Co., he died in Gilpin Twp.19 Sep 1834. One of his sons was James Harvey STITT, SR. James was born in Franklin Co., (I think) on 15 Jul 1793 and died on 20 Oct 1852 in Gilpin Co. Does anyone have an info on these two gentlemen? I need to tie them together (father and son) to qualify for SAR membership and so far, I can't. I have William STITT, JR's pension application and James Harvey STITT, SR's will, but neither says they are related. Any help will be greatly appreciated...
