I am sure there is good information on this page but it is a poorly designed page that takes a long time to load. I will never get to see what is there since I simply will not wait for the time it takes. I could drive from Texas to Pennsylvania quicker. People who design pages like this should be required to view them with a 300 baud modem. John Pamela Payne Randolph wrote: > AHHHHHHHHH HA!!!! The cemetery is West of Kittanning, PA and off Route 268 onto the township road (black-top) to Watersonville and Sherret road. In Sherret, turn right toward Adrian, travel one mile to Sherret Cemetery, go past the cemetery driveway up the hill on a graveled township road, (one Mile) turn right at Mr. Thomas (Thelma) Foster driveway, travel one-tenth of a mile up a field road to the power line. The family plot is in the woods to the left at the end of the corn fiedl. This farm is owned by Mr. Lloyd Wolfe. (Directions by Allene C. Crissman, 1990) Connie M.

Maybe the proper format for asking the queston would be; does anyone know anything about the Morrow family in Washington Twp., if Morrows Corner is named after them (seems likely) and if they lived at where Morrows Corner is located, at route 17 and Brush Valley Road? Also, does anyone know the location of the Morrow/McNutt cemetary in Washington Twp.? I wonder if it near Morrows Corner? Thanks, Jeff Cohen C. L. Hi, I am the one in posession the John George SMITH, Sr. Geneology 1717 - 1980. I have had quite a few asking for lookups. It is taking a while for me to get back to you because the book is not indexed I am in the process of trying to index it now. FYI: this John George SMITH b. 1717 - d. 1-16-1756 came from Germany d his name was translated from Hans Jurig SCHMIDT. It appears it is mostly the line of only one son John George SMITH 1756 - 1826 who wed Elizabeth Mickafoos 1759 - 1845. I will get back to all of you who have inquired as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience. Jackie

Thanks! This is probably what Morrows Corner was named after. How would you recommend tracking when the town was founded and who named it? Would there be a historical register for the township that would list the connection between namesakes and locations? Or do you think I need to follow the family tree of the Morrows you have provided and ask them? Jeff Cohen -----Original Message----- From: C. L. Hi, I recently asked here if anyone knew the history of Morrows Corner in Washington Twp. I spoke to some folks who live there and they said it had been called that as far back as 70 years ago. It appears on the electric bill as well. Those of you who have access to cemetery records; could you find a Morrow or Morrows in cemeteries in Washington Twp.? Thanks, Jeff Cohen Jcohen@att.com
Thanks Tom, and everyone else that responded. Looks like my main line could be moving east. Hi all, I'm also searching for relatives with the last name of Kline. I know a lot of Kline's that are relatives were members of the Ford Cliff Volunteer fire department. I have a few names to go on: George Kline and Laura Kline. My dad David Greer remembers visiting them as a child. I remember reading a newspaper clipping of a Georgie Kline who died as a child in a farm accident. Thanks for your help Michelle
Hi all, First, how I'm related to Heisner's. It is through my dad side of the family. Booth, Greer Kline. I'd have to get more details from my dad on how the tree is broken down. David Heisner was born around 1849 in Armstrong Co. He married Anna Jane Bellas. They had the following children Nora, Catharine, George, David, Mary, Janetta, Eliza Adeline, Alfred Booth, Nina Mabel Schott, Robert Price, John Thomas Arnold. I'm vague on some information, because I'm just now starting to research this side of the family. I believe they maybe related to the Greer's (from Armstrong, Co.) somehow.
Hopewell Furnace is located in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Southwest od Pottstown, PA. I'm currently researching my family history. I currently go back every year to Ford City & Ford Cliff for a Booth family reunion. My ggrandfather was Alfred Booth. I'm not sure if he was foreign born or if his father was foreign born and my ggrandfather was born here. Alfred Booth married Christanna Pearl LEWIS. They had the following children Alf, Dave, Catherine (my grandmother) Lorraine and Evelyn. If anyone has any info on this family and when they came to the US it would really be helpful and interesting to share this year at the Booth reunion. Michelle
