Specifically, I have Daniel FRY m. Catherine Elizabeth ISEMAN, and had a daughter named Catherine b. Apr. 4, 1817, d. Apr. 1851. Catherine m. Matthew JACK abt. 1835. (Matthew is my gggrandfather, but Catherine was his first wife. My ggrandmother was an issue from his second marriage. I have a listing of Matthew and Catherine's children.) I also have Daniel FRY m. to Elizabeth (not sure if they're the same couple as Catherine's parents listed above). Daniel was b. Sept. 17, 1789, d. Aug. 27, 1864, and Elizabeth was b. March 24, 1803, d. Feb. 2, 1858, so the dates do line up for these folks to be Catherine's parents. Another FRY couple on whom I have some information is John d. July 24, 1885 aged 70y, 27d, and Sarah d. Feb 22, 1899 aged 85y 14d. Hope this helps somene! Irene Crawford JTJTJ5@aol.com

    3. Hi Dan, I am sorry I do not share any of your surnames but wondered... if you are not too tired of doing lookups in your Armstrong book, I would certainly appreciate your checking out my Armstrong County family. Everytime I find a census on the net the list only goes down to the V's and then the screen says the list is too long to be shown completely - drat! I am looking for Armstrong W & Y's.. I am a direct descendant of Rosa E. HEILMAN, b 1862 and John Wal WINGARD b. 1855. Issue: Lillian Ione Wingard Ina Gail Wingard Vonnie L. Wingard They lived on a farm outside Leechburg not too far from Kittanning and if they had had a few sons this would be a lot easier for me. I have done well on the Rosa Heilman famly in Armstrong and got back to Peter b 1749, but I have zip on John Wal and his WINGARD family. Wal's mother may have been a SCHAEFFER...but that too is uncertain.....unless a Wingard shows up in the index married to one. Vonnie was my grandmother but died when my dad was four years old. He was raised by his grandparents and later is aunts. I did find (before the lousy list ran out) A Wingard on the 1820 census for Allegheny Co., PA but no other family was listed. Just for reference, other names associated with Rosa & John Wal in Armstong at that time were: HARTER /YOUNT / ISEMAN and a couple of Rosa's siblings married into the KING family. One sister Lizzie married two of them...Daniel first then Alex...wild and crazy girl... Thank you, Dan in advance for your kindness and what a lovely thing to share your gift of that that book with we who are flopping around out here (grin) Monette

Upon contacting the Leader Times today, I was informed that they don't do research, but I, or someone acting on my behalf could come to their office and request microfilm(s), which would then have to be taken to the Kittanning campus of IUP to be read. They would charge a $20 deposit for the film(s), which would be returned when the film(s) were returned to them.
