Looking for information on the McCLATCHEYs. I am trying to confirm the parentage of a Samuel McCLATCHEY, born about 1791 somewhere in Pennsylvania and died about 1865 in Lee County, Iowa. I believe he is the son of Charles McCLATCHEY (1769-1839) and the grandson of James McCLATCHEY (1730-1808) who immigrated to Pennsylvania from Ireland. SOCIETY ADDS EVENING HOURS For the convenience of genealogical researchers who cannot visit the Huntingdon County Historical Society¹s research library during regular daytime hours, the Society has announced the addition of evening hours one day a month. On the third Thursday of June, July and August, the research library will be open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
