HI I have been doing genealogy for quite a while. TAKE HEART BEGINNING GENEALOGISTS! The web is great! I have found real live cousins I have been missing and in most places great people to help me. So far, I have not found very much information that was in error but I usually make sure I try to check it with other sources. After all, EVEN original sources can be wrong. EXAMPLE: one relative put his brother's birthdate on the marriage license! He wanted to be 21 not 17! Family research is fun! I volunteer and transcribe a cemetery for a webpage that someone has put online with cemeteries in PA. If any beginner or not so beginner needs help, write me! I may not have the answer but I will try to help. take care debi -- SIMPLE PLEASURES ARE THE BEST, ALL THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU SMILE AND GLOW. __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas. To Sue Schriver, I am interested in finding out if our lines connect. I am from the Andrew Shriver line that lived in Armstrong County in the 1810-1850's approximately. I am Larry Shriver at: [email protected]
Hello All! Just one short month after replacing my hard drive, it was attacked by (not one) but two viruses. So once again I've lost addresses, etc. And once again I'm asking you to send me your email address, and if you sent me anything to post to the Armstrong County web site, please resend that also. In particular, will Jim Hindman, Sue Schriver, and Lisa Strobel please contact me? Thanks, Alice Gayley [email protected]
Would anyone on the list have access to either of these sources, and be willing to do a lookup for me? Ancestor's name: John ANDRUS, ca. 1830. Please contact me at <[email protected]>. Thanks for all of the positive feedback about posting items from local families for sale. I do not get to check E-bay daily, but if I see something I think others on the list may be interested in, I will continue to post it. Seems like the "tribe" has spoken : ) If you are not interested in items, there is always the delete button! Now back to my illusive family members I'm searching for! Karen
didn't someone recently list county mailing list sites? I thought so but not sure what list I saw them on. Was hoping someone could tell me if there is a list for Alleghany county & if so -what is the site address? thanks Michelle
Not a red cent! Just thought that someone in the families would like to know that there are family items going up for sale. I know that if something from one of my family members was for sale on e-bay, or anywhere else, I would appreciate someone letting me know so I could decide if I wanted to buy it or not. Hopefully if someone finds something from YOUR FAMILY they will look past your comments and let you know about it. If I did have something to do with family items, I wouldn't be selling them on e-bay. I'd be trying to find the rightful owner through lists such as this. If there is a problem with my informing others, I won't post any future local items I see for sale. Thought I was being helpful. ---------- > From: Pack <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [PAARMSTR-L] James A. Your postings are much appreciated! I don't have time to watch for all my surnames on eBay and really appreciate the heads up!
